February 22, 2010 — In Tune

Dear Faculty, Staff & Students,

We want you to be to what will be occurring on campus this week.

Please join me in welcoming the visiting members of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges on-site review team who will be here beginning Tuesday, February 23 through Thursday, February 25, 2010.  They will interview faculty, staff and students about the university’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).  The focus of our QEP is the deployment of a university-wide First Year Seminar for incoming freshmen.  The purpose of the First-Year Seminar is to better connect incoming students to the university in order to increase their chances for success in college.

We want our new students to begin on the right note and stay “in tune” until they graduate, as depicted in the produced by our university’s Cinematic Arts Workshop.

Thank you for your efforts and preparation leading up to this visit.  We look forward to proudly showing our visitors what we do to enhance student success.

Sincerely,

E. Joseph Savoie
